Our Story
Renovation MD was built on a simple belief: good remodeling starts with understanding the home before changing it.
With over 35 years of experience in the remodeling industry, Damon Hieb has seen what works, what doesn’t, and where projects often go wrong. He didn’t want to create just another remodeling company. He wanted to build a company that gave homeowners a better experience—one built on trust, communication, and doing things the right way.
Before construction begins, we take the time to understand the home, ask the right questions, and make a plan. We approach every project with the same care and attention we would if we were working on our own home.
The McCleary family helped shape Renovation MD in those early years, and we’re grateful for the work and commitment they brought to building the company.
That mindset still guides us today. Whether it’s a kitchen remodel, bathroom renovation, addition, or whole-home project, we believe the best results come from knowing the home, understanding the people living in it, and building something that will serve them well for years to come.

Meet Damon
Damon’s path into construction started with his father. He learned the trade the old-fashioned way—working alongside someone who knew the craft, paying attention, and understanding that good work is something you build over time.
Before moving to Kansas and starting Renovation MD, Damon owned and operated a remodeling company in Idaho. That experience shaped the way he approaches projects today: hands-on, detail-focused, and committed to doing things the right way.
For nearly 40 years, Damon and his wife, Neva, have built a life together centered around family, faith, and hospitality. They have four children and four grandchildren, and their home has always been a place where people gather.
When he’s not working on a project, you’ll usually find Damon and Neva working on their homestead, traveling, or welcoming friends and family around their table. Hospitality isn’t just something they believe in—it’s something they practice every day.
