Testimonial
Damon, thank you for everything you have done for us! Words can’t express our appreciation for spending time with us shopping, making our little job a priority, and dropping everything to unlock a door for others. The work you and your crew have done has been amazing. Joan and John Blazek
How do you handle whole-home renovations while we’re still living there?
Every whole-home renovation is different, so we work closely with each family to create a plan that fits their needs and lifestyle. Our goal is to make the process as comfortable and manageable as possible while still keeping the project moving forward.
Some homes have spaces such as basements, family rooms, or guest areas that allow us to complete the renovation in phases. We can work on one section of the home while you continue using another area, then move into the next phase once that space is complete.
In some situations, families choose to stay with relatives, take a vacation, or plan a temporary change of scenery during the most disruptive parts of the renovation. We’ll help you evaluate the best approach based on your home, the scope of work, and your family’s needs.
Clear communication and careful planning are key to making a whole-home renovation a successful experience from start to finish.
How long does a whole-home renovation typically take?
The timeline for a whole-home renovation depends on several factors, including the square footage of the home, the existing layout, the scope of work, the finishes selected, and the overall budget.
Every renovation is unique, so there is no one-size-fits-all timeline. A smaller renovation with straightforward updates may take a few months, while a larger, more complex renovation involving structural changes, custom finishes, or extensive updates can take a year or more.
During the planning process, we’ll work with you to understand your goals, develop a realistic project scope, and provide a timeline that fits your specific renovation.
Do you work with our own architect or designer?
es. We have several architects and designers that we have successfully worked with on past projects, and we can help connect you with professionals who are a great fit for your project. We also regularly collaborate with our clients’ preferred architects and designers.
Ultimately, the choice is yours. Our goal is to create a strong team that understands your vision and works together to bring your renovation to life.
How do you keep a big project on budget?
Keeping a large renovation on budget starts with careful planning and clear communication. During our bidding process, we use allowance items for selections that have not yet been finalized, giving you flexibility while creating a realistic project budget.
We work closely with our clients to identify priorities and make informed decisions about where to invest and where to save. This allows you to create a finished project that aligns with both your vision and your budget.
The items that most commonly impact a remodeling budget are unexpected issues discovered during construction, such as rot, mold, outdated systems, or other hidden conditions that could not be identified before work began. When these situations arise, we communicate the issue, discuss options, and work together to determine the best path forward.
